Just found this photograph I took at the daughter gig back in April. This was the European and US tour that I designed and made their poster for so it was great to finally go and see the band and see my posters being sold – they sold out that night which was great! The band always seem to choose such great venues to play – not that my photograph does it much justice!
Friday night I had the privilege of a couple of guest passes for 2000 Trees Festival as I’d made them some posters for their merchandising. Saw the Futureheads who were great. Weather was awful but that didn’t stop anybody! Not seen that amount of mud since Glastonbury 2005!
I was fortunate enough to be at the Bloc Party gig at Koko last night in London. The band played a great set with a number of new tracks from new album ‘Four’ out later in August. As usual the band were on good form and it was good to see them back! Needless to say I took some fairly dodgy shots on my phone! It was also good to see the poster that I had made for the gigs being sold.
A couple of shots of James at Wychwood Festival from the other week and a better shot of the sign I made for the main stage!
The May edition of The Word Magazine is out at the moment with a lovely picture of the Decemberists which I took at their Birmingham Institute gig back in March. If you don’t know them, have a listen to their latest album ‘The King is Dead’. if you like a bit of Americana, folk with early REM then give them a listen.
