Once again this year I designed and made the t shirts for the greatest FREE festival in Oxfordshire – Riverside Festival! This year we put the bands on the t-shirt which on all accounts went down well as they sold out of t-shirts! Always a pleasure to do this design and make their t-shirts!
Back in June I was asked to submit proposals for t-shirt designs for GreenBelt Festival. It’s Greenbelt’s 40th anniversary this year so I was pleased to be asked to submit – particularly as I used to go to the festival alot in my youth! The brief was to come up with a ‘classic’ t-shirt design that encompassed the spirit of the festival. I used designs from previous festivals to create a design that celebrated their 40 years, apparently they are using my design on t-shirts and mugs this year! The festival takes place this weekend. http://www.greenbelt.org.uk
Had a great weekend working at the Wychwood Festival in Cheltenham over the last few days. I designed this print in a limited edition of 50 to celebrate the festival. Next year is their 1oth anniversary, you can buy early bird tickets at amazing prices for the next few days at http://www.wychwoodfestival.com This weekend they had the amazing Public Service Broadcasting, Lucy Rose, The Wedding Present and Caravan Palace.
I also designed a bag for them this year :
I have an exhibition coming up at Truck Store on the Cowley Rod in Oxford as part of Oxfordshire Artweeks. The exhibition will be in the Keen Bean Cafe and run from the 4th to the 12th of May 2013. There will be some of the prints available to buy including some posters that are unavailable to buy in my etsy shop.
I was having a bit of a clear out the other day and came across this painting I did for The Wychwood Festival as a proposal in 2010. Haven’t worked like this for a long time now and had forgotten how much I liked painting. Must do some more paintings!
The line up for this years’ festival is coming together currently. Have a look here : http://www.wychwoodfestival.com.
Friday night I had the privilege of a couple of guest passes for 2000 Trees Festival as I’d made them some posters for their merchandising. Saw the Futureheads who were great. Weather was awful but that didn’t stop anybody! Not seen that amount of mud since Glastonbury 2005!
2000 Trees Festival takes place nexct week from the 12th to the 14th of July. They’ve got some great bands playing over the weekend including a rare appearance of 100 Reasons which should be amazing. They are doing some pre festival sales of the poster I have done for them here :
