Earlier in September I designed and printed a run of posters for the European tour for Laura. The brief was ‘demonic but no demons’ which I think I managed to pull of well! The hands in the poster are Laura’s! I had the pleasure of going to see her at Symphony Hall in Birmingham as well which was great, a really stripped back set – just Laura and a guitar. The posters have possibly sold out, I will post a link to her site if they have any left in the future.
I have put the last few Daughter tour posters in the shop. I have some posters left over from each night of the tour . The regional dates were one of 30 per night of which the band had 25 each night. I also have some of the Hackney Empire gig posters left as well. I also have a couple of Noah and the Whale, Richard Hawley and The Maccabees artist proof posters left from the Little Noise Sessions. The posters have gone really well it seems for Little Noise Sesions this week, with some of the nights selling out. I was asked by the organisers to make a special poster to say ‘Thanks’ to Jo Whiley for curating the events. Hopefully she likes it!
This last week I’ve been a bit run off my feet with doing proposals for some new bands and finalising and printing the posters for Mencaps’ Little Noise Sessions next week in London. Its a bit of strange one for me really in that there are some great ‘indie’ bands on the roaster over the 6 nights alongside…Gary Barlow… and Olly Murs! Needless to say I am taking my young lady to see Gary…she is excited! Anyway, this is what I’ve done for Little Noise. There are only 25 for each night, all signed and numbered and I am told they are going to get the artists for each night to sign 5 of the posters which they are going to auction! Anyway, hope people like them as much as I do. Its been good doing some hand drawing for this one. I’ve got some more proposals for a brilliant Manchester band to do this week, I will let you know if I am successful!
