I’ve just completed work on a run of posters for Amy MacDonald. the Scottish singer with the big voice. Her tour starts on Friday the 1st of March at Symphony Hall in Birmingham and ends at Colston Hall in Bristol on the 13th of March. I’ve designed and printed a limited run of 250 posters for the tour which are all signed and numbered. They will be available at the merch and I am told a limited number will be in Amy’s shop on line.
I have put the last few Daughter tour posters in the shop. I have some posters left over from each night of the tour . The regional dates were one of 30 per night of which the band had 25 each night. I also have some of the Hackney Empire gig posters left as well. I also have a couple of Noah and the Whale, Richard Hawley and The Maccabees artist proof posters left from the Little Noise Sessions. Have a look here :
I was having a bit of a clear out the other day and came across this painting I did for The Wychwood Festival as a proposal in 2010. Haven’t worked like this for a long time now and had forgotten how much I liked painting. Must do some more paintings!
The line up for this years’ festival is coming together currently. Have a look here : http://www.wychwoodfestival.com.
In addition to making all of the regional posters for the current Daughter tour I have also done a limited print for their sold out Hackney Empire show on the 24th of January. I made just 100 A2 size prints for this show. I’m really starting to get into drawing architecture – particularly when its as amazing as Hackney Empire! Again, I have a limited amount of prints that I will be selling after the show. Here are a few shots of them being printed.
Daughter’s tour started in Norwich last night despite the snow. I have produced a run of A2 sized 3 colour prints for the regional dates around the country. There are only 25 prints for each night of the tour – each one is specific for that venue. I am told they flew out last night in Norwich which is good to hear! Here are a few shots I took during the printing process. I will be selling a limited amount of prints from each night of the tour at the end of January, details to follow.
I’ve been working with the band ‘Daughter’ in the last few weeks to produce a print for their tour starting in Norwich on the 14th of January. I’ve produced a 3 colour A2 print for the regional dates and a separate one for the sold out Hackney Empire date. I’ve been working on my test prints today and all is going well. I will post the Hackney print in the next week or so when I have done the test prints. There will be a separate print for each night of the tour which will be limited to 25 per night, all will be signed and numbered.
Little Noise have a very limited amount of my posters left that I made for their gigs a few weeks ago. They have put them up on ebay here :
Apologies about the massive link! Noah and the Whale have already sold out as well as The Maccabees. They have one Richard Hawley – an artist proof print and the rest are Gary Barlow and Olly Murs with a few Amy Macdonald.
This last week I’ve been a bit run off my feet with doing proposals for some new bands and finalising and printing the posters for Mencaps’ Little Noise Sessions next week in London. Its a bit of strange one for me really in that there are some great ‘indie’ bands on the roaster over the 6 nights alongside…Gary Barlow… and Olly Murs! Needless to say I am taking my young lady to see Gary…she is excited! Anyway, this is what I’ve done for Little Noise. There are only 25 for each night, all signed and numbered and I am told they are going to get the artists for each night to sign 5 of the posters which they are going to auction! Anyway, hope people like them as much as I do. Its been good doing some hand drawing for this one. I’ve got some more proposals for a brilliant Manchester band to do this week, I will let you know if I am successful!
