As part of Artweeks in Oxford I teamed up with local record store Truck Records to put on an exhibition of my screen printed gig posters from the last few years. It was great to exhibit them in their coffee shop, and I made lots of sales to boot…which was nice;)
I have an exhibition coming up at Truck Store on the Cowley Rod in Oxford as part of Oxfordshire Artweeks. The exhibition will be in the Keen Bean Cafe and run from the 4th to the 12th of May 2013. There will be some of the prints available to buy including some posters that are unavailable to buy in my etsy shop.
I was having a bit of a clear out the other day and came across this painting I did for The Wychwood Festival as a proposal in 2010. Haven’t worked like this for a long time now and had forgotten how much I liked painting. Must do some more paintings!
The line up for this years’ festival is coming together currently. Have a look here : http://www.wychwoodfestival.com.
The Cribs tour poster has been selling really well, so well that I’ve been asked to do a second edition :
There is once again 75 of them which are all signed and numbered. They will be on sale from Monday night at the O2 academy in Newcastle.
A week or so ago I was asked to be part of the pitch for t-shirts and posters for Muse. They have a new single out in conjunction with the Olympics and a new album with a UK and European tour in the Autumn. The brief was to make something quite fashion orientated. Sadly my design ideas weren’t picked but I thought I’d share them here, it was great to be asked though at least!
Over the last few months I have been working with 2000 Trees Festival over in Gloucestershire to design a poster for their festival. I’ve just done the first test prints, looking good in a ‘Rooock’ kind of way! If you like new and underground music then have a look at http://www.twothousandtreesfestival.co.uk/ unfortunately I know that they are already sold out.
Last week I was asked to make a some branding fro the mainstage at Wychwood festival this year. I’ve used the same design as on the t-shirts and tried to keep it as clear and crisp as possible. Have spent the last couple of days painting it up. Will be on site tomorrow to work with the carpenter to put it up on the stage!
I’ve been working with Bloc Party over the last few weeks to create a screen printed poster for their upcoming fan club only gigs in a few weeks time. Did the first test prints this evening, needs a little bit of fiddling with but generally looking good!
